MAX-Muslims Achieving Excellence Network

On Friday, March 27th. The MAX - Muslims Achieving Excellence Network - Women in Leadership Team celebrated International for the very first time, in Calgary, highlighting the achievements of remarkable Muslim Women Leaders. 
 
Our panelists Ghada Nafie, PhD, PEng, PMP, Amtul Siddiqui, and Sherifat Akinwonmi, are extraordinary professional Muslim women who talked the talk and walked the walk. They shared about what resilience meant to them and the importance of intentionality, communication, positivity, and serving our community.

 

Farhiyah Shariff  moderated  a wonderful conversation . 

Najah was so proud that she brought Women in Leadership events to Calgary where Muslim women are taking control of our narrative and working together to make Calgary a better place for all.

CCIS- Network for Success Keynote Speaker

In November 2025, Najah was invited to be the Keynote speaker for the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society Network for Success event. It was an honour to stand with a community that has supported so many professional newcomers to restart their careers in their new country. As an immigrant, I consider coming to Canada one of the best things that has ever happened to me, and I carry that gratitude with me in everything I do. AND I strongly believe that immigrants are a huge asset to Canada. My message focused on encouraging everyone to say “yes, and”  and to remember that time is your friend.

GROW Women Leaders Summit 2024- 
Igniting Diversity For The Future of Work 

In November 2024,  Najah  was a facilitator at the Grow Women Leaders summit. This event aims to empower a dynamic community of employers from various industries who believe in the power of diversity to drive innovation and achieve exceptional results. With a highly professional and educated audience, including women, immigrants and BIWOC. An unparalleled opportunities for networking, learning, and collaboration.

University of Calgary Women In Business -Career Readiness Event Sponsor 

In October 2025,  Al-Atassi Consulting  was one of the sponsor of the Women In Business - University of Calgary Career Readiness Roundtable at the Haskayne School of Business,  Najah met smart young women ready to dream big and shape their futures. I challenged the students to imagine where they would be in 2035 and build their career plan accordingly. 

Canadian Council for Indigenous Businesses-PAIR Award 

In October 2025, and as a proud member of the Rise Team who is working on advancing Truth and Reconciliation in Canada, we were so proud to receive Silver -Level Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations Program.

The Canada Maple Foundation -Alberta Inclusive Growth Summit

In September 2025,  Najah attended one of the best events in 2025. The first Alberta Inclusive Summit. The room was buzzing with energy, filled with powerful conversations and brave leaders showcasing the good work they are doing to make Alberta the place for everyone as Jamshaid Qureshi said " Inclusivity is not a charity, it is an economic strategy

I respectively acknowledge that I live and work within the area of the Treaty #7. This includes the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai), the Tsuut'ina Nation, and the Iyarhe Nakoda Nations (Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney). This place is also known as part of the Northwest Metis Homeland, Metis Nation of Alberta, District 6.
